Unplanned conveyor trippings or motor control failures halt coal feeding, directly threatening power generation. At Jaypee Bina Thermal Power Plant in Bina, MP, DEC executed a comprehensive electrical modification and modernization package for the plant's high-capacity Coal Handling Plant.
The project involved upgrading existing 11kV/3.3kV drive switchgear, supplying Trisquare heavy-duty Motor Control Centres for crushers and conveyor drives, installing dust-proof IP65 distribution boards, and replacing main cable runs with POLYVION FRLS armoured cables.
