Renewable energy Independent Power Producers (IPPs) require rapid, high-integrity grid interconnection substations to export generated solar and wind power into state transmission grids. At Mayfair Renewable Energy's park in RON, Karnataka, DEC built the 110kV high-voltage grid pooling switchyard.

The scope included 110kV gantry structure erection, SF6 breaker installation, 0.2S class ABT tariff metering desks, numeric distance protection relays, and 33kV POLYVION underground collector cables.
